🛣️ Route Overview: Albuquerque → Sturgis (~1,100 miles)

Day 1: Albuquerque → Durango, CO (~215 mi)

  • Route: US‑550 “Million Dollar Highway” through Silverton

  • Stay: Biker-friendly lodge in Durango with secure parking

Day 2: Durango → Grand Junction → Rock Springs, WY (~300 mi)

  • Scenic through Colorado canyons, pause at Grand Mesa

  • Stay: Comfortable roadside motel in Rock Springs

Day 3: Rock Springs → Sheridan, WY (~340 mi)

  • Ride via I‑80 north to I‑90, enjoy wide-open plains

  • Stay: A relaxing Sheridan inn, ideal for recharging

Day 4 (Optional Scenic Colorado Loop): Sheridan → Beartooth Highway → Red Lodge, MT (~200 mi + 68 mi Beartooth)

Day 5: Red Lodge → Rapid City, SD (~330 mi)

  • Scenic ride into Black Hills; overnight in Rapid City
